Zoltan Kovacs

CEO

Zoltan founded AGF in 1999 with an initial focus on producing low- to medium-volume precision‑machined parts. In 2019, he led the company into the Additive Manufacturing market—a move that proved highly successful and ultimately shifted AGF’s primary focus to advanced Additive Manufacturing solutions.
 
A firm believer in strong customer relationships, Zoltan is committed to delivering high‑quality parts that meet each customer’s exact specifications. His dedication to customer satisfaction continues to drive AGF’s growth, enabling the company to expand and support more industries and clients.

Nathan Rees

Operations Manager

Nathan Rees is the Operations Manager with nine years of hands-on experience across multiple departments at AGF DEFCOM, giving him a well-rounded understanding of operations from the ground up. Throughout his career, he has developed a strong foundation in production processes, team collaboration, and continuous improvement, allowing him to contribute effectively in fast-paced manufacturing environments.

Known for his practical mindset and dependable work ethic, Nathan brings a collaborative approach to every role he takes on. His cross-department experience enables him to see the bigger picture while still paying attention to the details that keep operations running smoothly. His steady leadership and dedication to high standards play a vital role in AGF DEFCOM’s ongoing success.

Codie McCarthy

Additive Manufacturing Engineer - Manager

Codie is a seasoned Additive Manufacturing Engineer and Manager dedicated to helping clients achieve innovative, cost-effective solutions through advanced manufacturing technologies. With over 10 years of experience in the industry and more than four years specializing in additive manufacturing, Codie leverages deep technical expertise to deliver precision, efficiency, and scalability for client projects.

A graduate of Pennsylvania College of Technology with a Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Codie holds five industry-recognized certifications that reflect a commitment to quality and continuous improvement. By combining technical knowledge with a client-first approach, Codie ensures that every solution aligns with customer goals—whether it’s accelerating production timelines, reducing material waste, or enabling complex design capabilities.

Joseph Ambrogio

Additive Manufacturing Engineer

Joseph brings 5+ years of experience in additive manufacturing, with a strong foundation in both production and process optimization for metal AM applications. He holds five industry-recognized certifications — EOS Data Preparation for Metals and Process Science and Engineering Metals for AM & more— underscoring his technical expertise in the field.

A graduate of Robert Morris University with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Joseph combines a deep understanding of digital design with hands-on manufacturing knowledge to deliver high-quality, precision-engineered components.

Brandon Farner

Quality Assurance Manager

Brandon is a Quality Engineering Manager with 15 years of experience transforming complexity into excellence in advanced manufacturing, research, and product development. From his early days in Navy R&D, where precision was non-negotiable, to leading precision metrology for cutting-edge suppressor production via additive manufacturing, he thrives on elevating quality standards and fine-tuning processes.

Brandon specializes in innovative engineering solutions, data-driven decision-making, and meticulous problem-solving. He is known for fostering cross-functional synergy, driving continuous improvement, and never backing down from a challenge—because delivering reliable, high-performance products isn’t just a job; it’s my craft.

Tyler Russell

CNC Programmer – Shop Manager

Tyler Russell is a detail-oriented CNC machinist and Programmer with over five years of hands-on experience in precision manufacturing, specializing in CNC mill and lathe operations, programming, and shop leadership. He currently serves as the CNC Programmer and Shop Manager, where he programs from customer blueprints, sets up multi-axis Haas Mills and Nakamura Lathes, oversees tooling and workflow, and mentors operators to maintain the highest quality standards.

His career foundation includes tooling design and CAD modeling as a Tooling Engineer at Elizabeth Companies, along with apprenticeship training at Oberg Industries. Holding Associates of Applied Science in Computer Aided Manufacturing Technologies and multiple NIMS and Sandvik Coromant certifications, Tyler brings a results-driven mindset, combining strong technical expertise with a practical, efficiency-driven approach to manufacturing excellence.
